Dancing with the Stars contestant Melissa Rycroft, 26, had to sit out of the show April 27 after sustaining a hairline fracture of one of her ribs during rehearsal. The actor had been sued for wrongful death and gross negligence by the parents of 17-year-old passenger Vagahn Setian, who was killed when the actor crashed his SUV while driving drunk in Beverly Hills in 2006. Injured passenger Michelle Ohana, who was 15 at the time of the accident, had sought payment for medical bills, lost wages and home nursing care.

Four jewelers who lent Rihanna, 21, the estimated $1 million in jewelry she was wearing the night she was allegedly beaten by boyfriend Chris Brown, 20, want their accessories back. The LAPD took the items into evidence in their investigation of the February incident, and the chanteuse has been trying to recover them through her attorney. At issue are a pair of metal hoop earrings and three yellow metal rings she wore to a pre-Grammy party. A detective has referred her lawyer to the prosecutor. A D.A. spokeswoman says, "At this stage, we're not even sure what evidence is going to be entered into the case."
