1 How do you unwind?
Taking a hot bath is always nice, especially when it's with my wife. We usually have 15-20 minutes before the kids start pounding on the door! It gives us time to be in the same space, relax and really connect.
2 Do you have any hidden talents?
Carpentry. I made my wife a big, beautiful bird cage, and I made a huge swing set in our old house with a trap door and a sandbox.
3 You come from a big family. How does your wife, actress Jennie Garth, fit in?
When she first came over for dinner, she started crying. She said, "Everybody's yelling at each other!" I explained that they were trying to get a word in edgewise and they talk passionately! Her family is quiet. Very Midwest. When they eat dinner, you can hear a pin drop.
4 What's up with the family RV trips?
We have an A-class bus, with a living room, kitchen, bedroom and bunk bed. But it doesn't really matter—all the kids jump in our tiny bed. I like to go to odd places. I'm the guy who's like, "Oh, the biggest ball of yarn? We've gotta go!"
5 Any superstitions?
Yes, chain mail! I always have to send out chain mail. It's like if you don't send it to 10 people, you're going to fall down a flight of stairs.
