When Miranda woke up on the morning of her 16th birthday, May 14, she figured the day might include "a little party, because that's what I usually do," she says. But her pals at iCarly
had something a little more special in mind. Given the magnitude of the milestone, they delivered everything from a live musical act to plenty of unexpected party guests at a Hollywood bash held two days later at Siren Studios. "It was so much fun. I couldn't have been any happier!" Miranda says. For starters Nickelodeon pals Nathan Kress, Jennette McCurdy and Keke Palmer were there. And fellow teen stars Dylan and Cole Sprouse, Debby Ryan and Angus T. Jones also helped celebrate, hitting the dance floor with Miranda to tunes spun by a deejay. The menu included Miranda's favorite foods, including seared sashimi tuna tostadas, penne pasta, pizza and a cupcake tower from Crumbs Bake Shop. "Being 16 sounds a lot more mature than 15," Miranda muses, noting that the best thing of all is that she's now old enough to drive. "I took driver's ed this summer, and I've been thinking about a car for the last five years. My mom wants me to get a Range Rover because they're safer, but I kind of like Volkswagen Beetles. They're supercute." Either way, she's more than ready to accessorize her new ride. "I have a huge box of Hello Kitty stuff—a floor mat, seat covers, one of those things that goes on the antenna—and I can't wait to put them in," she says. At her party Miranda was showered with gifts including a Pinkberry gift certificate from Kress, a Tiffany necklace from Jones, a custom-designed Gibson acoustic guitar from Nickelodeon and a Juicy Couture robe from McCurdy. "She loves having sleepovers, so I thought it would be appropriate," McCurdy says. But the biggest and best surprise of the night was when singer Sara Bareilles showed up to lead a "Happy Birthday" sing-along and perform a few of her hits including "Love Song." "All of my friends were freaking out," says Miranda. "She's one of my favorite singers. She was really nice too. I like her even more now!"
