THE PRESIDENT on their first White House Christmas: "This holiday is a little bit different because we're going to have thousands of people walking through our house to look at the decorations. Other than that, our traditions are pretty much the same. We're going to spend time in Hawaii with the same friends and family we always see. There's usually some kind of talent show, and everybody has to do something. The kids are much more talented than the grown-ups, so we might have to step it up."
THE FIRST LADY on a favorite 2009 memory with daughters Sasha and Malia: "[It] happened not too long after we moved in, when it snowed for the first time. The girls and I went out with a cookie tray that the White House carpenters had turned into a sled. It was absolutely beautiful outside. Everyone had a blast."
