BIOPIC

In a sense The Runaways is universal-regardless of age or gender, it'll make everyone feel like a creepy old man. With Fanning as Cherie Currie, alongside her New Moon costar Stewart as Joan Jett, the film charts the rise and fall of rock's first all-girl band. The script lacks substance, but the actresses deliver on style, with the tense Stewart showing some oomph as Jett. The gutsiest performance belongs to 16-year-old Fanning, who's sexy, sick and altogether unsettling, writhing in a bustier as teen "cherry bomb" Currie, leaving us feeling invigorated but filthy. Which is precisely the point.

COMEDY

In this Judd Apatow ripoff, a dorky airport worker from Pittsburgh (Baruchel) finds himself dating a blonde bombshell (Eve). This fairy tale preaches that a "10" can fall in love with a "5," but the sight of Baruchel kissing Eve still somehow looks ... wrong. It doesn't help that the pair lack chemistry. Still, the leads charm separately, and Baruchel and his pals are a crudely funny crew. Note: The private-parts manscaping Baruchel endures crosses into TMI country.

>Elvis' grandkid Riley Keough, 20, costars in The Runaways.

WHEN DID YOU CONSIDER ACTING?

I was about 11 and on-set with Nicolas Cage (who was married to her mom, Lisa Marie Presley). I was like, "Maybe I can do this."

IS MUSIC IN YOUR GENES?

My family didn't put pressure on me, but I grew up playing piano.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVE MUSIC MOVIES?

The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Moulin Rouge. We didn't really sit down and watch Elvis movies!

>Robert Pattinson brooding. Taylor Lautner shirtless. Makeouts in a field of flowers! Yes, Teams Edward and Jacob alike rejoiced as the trailer for the Twilight series' third chapter, Eclipse (out in June), hit the Web. Meanwhile, New Moon arrives on DVD March 20—with an extensive behind-the-scenes documentary for true Twihards.

>• This summer's film to see with a sibling: author Beverly Cleary's kids' tale of the adventures of sisters Beatrice and Ramona Quimby, due July 23.

>• The sexy House of Payne actor, 28, stars in Our Family Wedding-and prepares for his own big day.

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST BIG BREAK?

I was in an acting class (in 2006), and Tyler Perry and Tyra Banks came one night. Tyler told my teacher he wanted to give me a job. Nine months later he called me for House of Payne.

HOW'S WORKING WITH TYLER?

He's like a big brother-laid-back and likes to have fun.

ANY MISHAPS ON-SET?

America (Ferrera) was the clumsiest person. I kept a tally of how many times she bumped into something, and my count got pretty high-in the 40s. She had all kinds of cuts and bruises by the end.

YOUR OWN WEDDING IS IN JULY!

I would talk to (America's Next Top Model winner Eva Marcille) about the wedding scene and say, "Maybe we should try this." It was like having a practice run.

>• The actor, 12, debuts in the new film Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

SWEET DREAMS

While auditioning, "I was so excited that I could be in the film. I slept with the (Wimpy Kid) books under my pillows."

TAKING CUES

When he's not acting, the California native loves to play pool: "I'm pretty good. I have a feeling I'll be in a pool competition when I'm older."
