Kelsey & Camille Grammer

INSIDE THEIR SPLIT

They were married nearly 13 years and have two kids, but Kelsey Grammer, 55, and former model Camille Donatacci Grammer, 41, have called it quits. "Camille and I shared many wonderful things throughout our years together; there were just a few things that we couldn't work out," Grammer wrote on his blog July 5-four days after his wife (who will appear on Bravo's The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills) filed for divorce in Los Angeles, citing irreconcilable differences. So what happened? A pal tells Scoop no third party is involved and "there is no scandal" behind the breakup of Grammer's third marriage. (He has two daughters from previous relationships.) Meanwhile, a family friend will say only Camille is "hurt and devastated" by the split. As for the future, Grammer expects both he and Camille will date others ("I hope people and the press will understand that we are both free to carry on with our lives," he wrote on his blog), but he will put the kids first. Writes the actor: "I hope to have a great partnership with her in the raising of our children."

IS THIS JEN'S NEW GUY?

It's been months since Jennifer Aniston has been spotted with a new love interest, so when the actress, 41, enjoyed dinner at L.A.'s Sunset Tower Hotel July 1, blogs were abuzz about a new man in her life. Despite the intense interest, Aniston was simply dining with an old friend, actor Chris Gartin, 42-the soon-to-be ex-husband of event planner Jo Gartin, a close friend of Courteney Cox Arquette and David Arquette's. "Chris and Jennifer have been friends for many years," insists Aniston's rep. "She has had dinner with him dozens and dozens of times." The pair arrived and left together, but "they're definitely just friends," seconds another source. "This is just silly."

Who Should Replace Larry King?

Following the recent cheating scandal that rocked Larry King' s nearly 13-year marriage to Shawn Southwick King (tabloids claimed infidelity on both sides), the CNN host, 76, has decided to "hang up my nightly suspenders" after 25 years on the air. With King set to abdicate this fall-allowing "more time for my wife and I to get to the kids' Little League games"-which TV personality should take over his nightly gig?

LADY GAGA & LUC CARL

In "You and I," Lady Gaga sings of a lost love: "It's been a long time but I'm back in town/But this time I'm not leaving without you." Her lyrics came to life. The singer, 24, recently reconciled with the song's subject, musician Luc Carl, from whom she split a few years ago. The couple have gone public with their romance, attending a June 11 New York Mets game (above).

Tammy Lynn Slams Melissa

BLOGGING HER HURT IN VERSE ...

Melissa Etheridge filed to legally end her nearly nine-year partnership with Tammy Lynn Michaels on July 2, 2½ months after the couple announced their separation. And while the singer, 49, has called the split "mutual," Michaels, 35, continues to blog her side of the story: "We both promised, agreed, handshook, pinkyswore, no filing until after tour in the fall/her broken promises told to me by headlines," she wrote. "I'm raising the kids ... could you stop blind sighting [sic] me?" Ouch.

MEL GIBSON LASHES OUT

IS HE AT IT AGAIN?

Mel Gibson, whose anti-Semitic rant during a 2006 DUI arrest garnered worldwide attention, has reportedly been caught on tape spewing hate again. This time, he allegedly used the N-word to describe African-American men during an expletive-filled message to ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, 40. Gibson, 54 (who accuses the Russian singer of withholding daughter Lucia, 8 months, for financial gain), also allegedly said, "You look like a ... pig in heat," and called her a "psycho" and a "whore." RadarOnline and TMZ are reporting that the tapes exist; a Gibson rep claims to have no knowledge of the tapes and could not confirm their authenticity. A hearing to determine the legality of the tapings is set for July 8.
