Los Angeles authorities announced on Nov. 18 that Russell Brand, 35, is unlikely to face charges over a September confrontation at Los Angeles International Airport. The media had mobbed the British actor-comedian and fiancee Katy Perry, 26, as the couple moved through the terminal, and Brand was arrested after swatting at a photographer and hitting his camera. The star of Get Him to the Greek married the American singer in a lavish ceremony in India Oct. 23. • Michael Douglas, 66, who is battling throat cancer, got some good news when the suit filed by his ex-wife was tossed out of a New York court. Diandra Douglas, 54, was seeking half of the millions her former spouse earned for reprising his Oscar-winning role of Gordon Gekko in Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps. In a ruling made public on Nov. 15, a Manhattan judge said that because the couple divorced in California in 2000, the matter should be settled in that state.

BIRTHS

Former American Idol finalist Chris Daughtry, 30, and his wife, Deanna, 37, welcomed fraternal twins Adalynn Rose and Noah James, who were born to a surrogate mother on Nov. 17. "Our family is overwhelmed with joy by these two precious gifts from God!" the rock musician tweeted. The new arrivals join Hannah, 14, and Griffin, 12.

I DO!

Soulful singer Aaron Neville, 69, married photographer Sarah A. Friedman, 42 (inset), on Nov. 12 in New York City. It is the first marriage for Friedman and the second for Neville, who lost his wife of 48 years, Joel, to lung cancer in 2007. The couple met in New Orleans at a PEOPLE magazine photo shoot in 2008, when Friedman was hired to take a portrait of the Neville Brothers, and became engaged a few months afterward.

IN COURT

On Nov. 18 in Seattle, Colton Harris-Moore, better known as The Barefoot Bandit, 19, pleaded not guilty to five federal charges related to a two-year, cross-country crime spree. The charges against Harris-Moore, who has been in solitary confinement since being captured in the Bahamas in July, include interstate transportation of a stolen plane, boat and gun, as well as flying a plane without a pilot's license. The trial is set to begin Jan. 18, and Harris-Moore could face as much as 43 years in prison if convicted of all charges.

PINK IS PREGNANT

Confirming what has been rumored for weeks, Pink told Ellen DeGeneres on her Nov. 17 show, "I'm eating for two these days." The Grammy-winning singer, 31, revealed that her doctor thinks the baby will be a girl, and the pop star is worried she might end up with a daughter as unruly as she is. "I'm terrified one of us will go to jail!" she joked. Pink added that she and her husband of almost five years, motocross racer Carey Hart, 35 (inset), have wanted a child for a long time and had planned for the baby: "I worked for it. It was not an 'Oops!' " No due date has been revealed.
