The baseball star, 35, is-as a source told New York's Daily News-"really into muscular women." So is a ripped bod a dating must for him? Says a PEOPLE source: "He would not date a woman for long who was not into fitness like he is."

Diaz started getting serious about fitness prior to filming Charlie's Angels (near left) in 2000. But lately she's kicked things up a notch. On Feb. 11 she was spotted doing a hard-core workout (hoisting tractor tires, playing tug of war) with beau Alex Rodriguez in Miami. "I learned what it feels like to be strong," she told Playboy last summer. "Women get to a place where we know we have to take care of ourselves, and we do something about it."
