COURTENEY & DAVID
NOT DIVORCING ... FOR NOW
Rapidly becoming Hollywood's most amicably separated couple, David Arquette, 39, and Courteney Cox, 46, spent March 19 selecting plants for her Malibu home. "They seemed to have a great time together," said an observer. Does it mean they're ready to reconcile? "They're trying to work out what's best for them. Neither of them wants to get divorced," says a source close to Arquette. Since their October split, the pair, although living apart, have had several friendly outings. And Cox stood by her husband after his month in rehab in January. Says her pal: "She's proud that he took charge of his life." For now, sources close to the two, who costar in Scream 4, say they are spending time together and seeing where that leads. "It's all up in the air right now," says David's pal. "But they still love each other."
WEDDING BELLS FOR REESE!
HOW THE 'GIDDY' STAR GOT READY TO TIE THE KNOT
Talk about a whirlwind week. With her wedding to talent agent Jim Toth set for March 26 at her ranch in Ojai, Calif., Reese Witherspoon kicked off the festivities on March 22 with a birthday dinner (she turned 35) at Tavern in Brentwood, Calif., with Toth, 40, her kids Ava, 11, and Deacon, 7, her parents (who flew in from Nashville) and her brother John and his children. "Reese seemed ecstatic to spend time with her whole family," says a source. On March 24 she hit the Kinara Spa with her maid of honor for some pampering before getting her wedding license. The day before their planned intimate, rustic nuptials, the couple headed up the coast to Ojai, where they lunched outdoors with her family at the Oak Grill restaurant. "Reese was giddy and excited about her wedding," says a source. "She looked happy and relaxed." Adds a friend: "They're both ready to start their life together."
EXCLUSIVE CHECK OUT JESSE JAMES' BOOK!
With his memoir, American Outlaw (out May 3), Jesse James, 41, promises a raw look at a life hard-lived. The book spans his volatile upbringing, failed marriages and the joys of fatherhood. For the back jacket, James went for an Old Wild West theme (yes, that's his own .44 Magnum revolver!). "My kids thought it looked really cool."
"People claim to know everything about me, when they actually know nothing. But once you read this, you will know everything-the whole story, right here."

American Idol's Casey Abrams
SAVED BY JUDGES, CHECKED BY DOC!
When Casey Abrams started singing "I Don't Need No Doctor" on Idol's Top 11 results show, he was looking for the judges' save-not refusing urgent care. But when Steven Tyler told Abrams that he'd been selected to stay, he appeared so surprised-almost unwell-that after the show ended "his heart was pounding, he was pale, he was sweating, and he was laying down," according to host Ryan Seacrest, who described him later on his KIIS FM radio show. The good news is the doctor gave Abrams, who suffers from ulcerative colitis, a debilitating disease that affects the large intestine, the all clear. A source tells Scoop, "They didn't want anything to go unnoticed."
THE 30 ROCK STAR AND NEW CAPITAL ONE PITCHMAN RIFFS ON ...
"My friends and I watched the show Hoarders. I want to tell you, if you ever want to get upset, if you ever want to get freaked out and watch a TV show that's disturbing, watch it. It's really moving and it's tragic. It's people who have lost their way." He whispers: "I have a hoarding problem."
PLUGGING CAPITAL ONE!
"Capital One bank has been a great partner with me in trying to raise money for arts education in America. The No. 1 organization I support is Americans for the Arts, and we have a matching campaign online with Capital One where whatever donations are given to Americans for the Arts during a certain time period, they will match."
"Everybody's very, very lovely. I adore everyone at work, we have a great group-the crew, cast and production. I'm going to be honest with you. This is something I've never told anyone: My favorite person-I could say Tina [Fey] or Jane [Krakowski] or Tracy [Morgan] or Jack [McBrayer]-but I can tell you one thing. My favorite person in the entire production of 30 Rock is my driver, Ray Moyer. I love Ray more than anyone."
