TV Hosts: Hotter Than Ever!
How Working on a Reality Weight-Loss Show Helped Two Stars Get into Killer Shape
THE BIGGEST LOSER'S
BODY AFTER TWO BABIES!
Alison Sweeney, 34, will never forget one of her early epiphanies on The Biggest Loser: "We pulled out an individual-size pizza, and it's 700 calories per serving. You're like, it's not so bad until you realize there are six servings!" After seven seasons on the show, she has also learned to downsize her portions and satisfy her candy cravings with fruit. As a result, the mom of two (Ben, 6, and Megan, 2; dad is California Highway Patrol officer Dave Sanov, 38) and author of The Mommy Diet has now fine-tuned her 5' 4½" physique to a slender size 2. And if ever she's struggling to get to spinning or yoga class, "I think of all the contestants," she says. "Courtney [on the current season] has lost over 200 lbs.! If she can do that, I can go to the gym." In the end, the hard work has paid off. "When I look at my body, I see the hard work," she says. "I just feel so good."
NOW A SIZE 6!
SHEDDING FOR THE WEDDING'S
FIRST TIME IN A BIKINI!
When Sara Rue slipped on a two-piece for the first time, she instantly adopted a less-is-more policy about her wardrobe: "I thought, 'I look good!' So I went through my closet and threw out everything that was too big. It felt great," says the Jenny Craig spokesperson, 32, who has maintained her 50-lb. weight loss for almost a year with a 1,700-calorie daily diet. One thing that keeps her on track? Hosting the CW's Shedding for the Wedding. "It keeps me in check. The contestants do their weigh-ins, and I think, 'I better get on the scale!' " says Rue, who also learned to keep an emergency stash of snack bars in her purse from the show's nutritionist. Now Rue, who next stars in ABC Family's My Future Boyfriend, is doing cardio four days a week to tone up for her spring wedding to college consultant Kevin Price, 35: "I want to flounce around in a bikini on my honeymoon!"
