Kate Hudson is sporting an extra glow-and brand-new bling to match! Matt Bellamy, her boyfriend and father of the baby they're expecting this summer, popped the question with a diamond ring that's estimated to be 7 carats. "She's ecstatic," says her friend. "She was ready and it felt right." Hudson and Bellamy, both 32, began dating last spring. "She loves that he's a musician," says Hudson's friend (he's Muse's frontman). "And Matt protects her. He'd do anything for her." Hudson, who has a son, Ryder, 7, with ex-husband Chris Robinson, 44, confirmed her engagement on the Today show April 27 but has not set a wedding date. "They're not rushing it," explains the friend. "They want to focus on their family first." Another pal says, "She's had such a great pregnancy. This is just the icing on the cake!"

SHE'S PREGNANT!
January Jones, 33, is taking on motherhood-alone. "She's really looking forward to this new chapter in her life as a single mom," a source close to the Mad Men star tells Scoop. So far Jones, who will star in X-Men: First Class, and her rep are mum on pregnancy details, except to confirm the baby is due in the fall. That hasn't stopped rampant speculation about the baby's father. She hasn't dated anyone publicly since splitting with Saturday Night Live star Jason Sudeikis in, er, January.

"She's definitely having it removed," says Dr. Will Kirby of Dr. Tattoff in Los Angeles. Don't be surprised if Marilyn lingers on the actress's skin. Adds Kirby: "On average, it will take 10 treatments to remove, a year for it to completely vanish and will cost 10 times the amount it originally cost." Ouch!
