Actress and model Molly Sims, 38, revealed that she is expecting a baby boy in June with husband Scott Stuber, 43. "I know [he] would have been excited with a girl, but he is such a sports freak," she said on The Talk. • Pro golfer Bubba Watson, 33, can add "dad" to his list of accomplishments This year's winner of the 76th Masters and his wife, former European pro basketball player Angie, 34, announced March 28 that they have been approved as adoptive parents to a 6-week-old boy they named Caleb. Watson had little time to bond with his son before leaving for Augusta, Ga., to win the coveted golf title April 8, but quickly caught up the next day, tweeting, "Changed my first 2 diapers today!" As required by law, the baby will live with the Arizona couple, who are renting in Florida, where Caleb was born, for six months until the adoption becomes final.

LEGAL MATTERS

Former American Idol star Chris Daughtry (inset), 32, is being sued by ex-bandmates in Guilford County, N.C.-Absent Element's bassist Ryan Andrews, drummer Scott Crawford and guitarist Mark Perry-for royalties from four songs they say were written as a group. Among the songs in question is the hit single "Home," included on the debut album by the singer's current band Daughtry. "The songs listed in this lawsuit were written solely by me and no one else," says the singer. • Three months since announcing their split after nearly seven years of marriage, Heidi Klum, 38, officially filed for divorce from Seal, 49, in L.A. April 6. The Project Runway star, who will legally reclaim her maiden name, is requesting joint legal custody, but primary physical custody, of their children Leni, 7, Henry, 6, Johan, 5 and Lou, 2. The details of their postnuptial agreement dividing their assets and debts were not released.

DEATHS

Television journalist Gil Noble, 80, who hosted Like It Is, an award-winning TV show that addressed issues in the black community, died on April 5 in Wayne, N.J., of complications from the stroke he suffered last year. Welcoming controversial guests such as the Nation of Islam's Louis Farrakhan, the Emmy winner once described his show as "the antidote to the 6 and 11 o'clock news."

PAINTER THOMAS KINKADE DIES

The artist who called himself the Painter of Light died April 6 at his Monte Sereno, Calif., home at age 54. Thomas Kinkade, who had reportedly battled alcohol abuse, was known for his luminous landscapes that adorned an estimated 10 million homes. "My art is comfort art, the equivalent of comfort food," he once said. "People want to be reminded of the foundation things they believe in-home, family, the beauty of nature." Autopsy results are pending.
