DREW BARRYMORE'S WEDDING PARTY!

Surrounded by family and friends, Drew Barrymore celebrated her engagement to fiancé Will Kopelman, 34, with a rooftop bash at the Ink48 hotel in Manhattan May 11. Cameron Diaz, 39, Ed Norton, 42, and Lake Bell, 33, were on hand for the "big celebration," a guest tells Scoop. The bride-to-be, 37, who is expecting the couple's first child, went veil shopping earlier in the day for her upcoming "traditional and romantic" wedding, says a friend. "It's a really special time for them."

SOFIA VERGARA HOLLYWOOD'S HOTTEST SINGLE

Sofia Vergara, 39, isn't sitting at home crying over her recent split with boyfriend Nick Loeb, 36. It was "a relief" for the Modern Family star, says a source close to her. "Sofia's not really into the idea of marriage and doesn't want any more kids anytime soon," adds another source, who says Loeb was keen to wed. Vergara, who has a son, Manolo, 19, from an earlier marriage, was spotted in Manhattan partying with Jessica Alba, 31, May 10, looking glam at the Met Gala Ball and laughing with pals at a May 9 charity lunch.

On April 13, with a kidney donated by her father, she underwent transplant surgery. Her boyfriend, actor Matt Prokop, 21, helps "with my medication and takes me to doctor appointments. I am one of the luckiest people," she tells the magazine.

REESE WITHERSPOON FAMILY DRAMA

THE OSCAR WINNER RUSHES TO SEE HER PARENTS AS THEY HASH OUT THE LEGALITIES OF HER FATHER'S SECOND MARRIAGE

When Reese Witherspoon, six months pregnant with her third child and first with husband Jim Toth, flew to Nashville May 4, it was far from a happy homecoming. Four months earlier her father, John, 70, a respected surgeon, married Tricianne Taylor, 60, in Gaitlinburg. The problem? He is still married to Reese's mother, Betty, 64, a retired nurse and professor (although the couple have lived separately since 1996). By May 9 Betty had filed a petition seeking to annul John and Taylor's marriage and was granted a restraining order to keep Taylor from using the Witherspoon name. "Reese has always been incredibly close to her parents," says a source close to the actress. "Even though they split up all those years ago, they remained a family. Reese looks up to her mother so much, and seeing her go through this must be very difficult." According to an affidavit filed by Betty, John has problems with alcohol, spending and hoarding and may suffer from early-onset dementia. "I fear for my husband's personal safety and the safety of my family," she said in the filing. While the court decides on Betty's petition, Reese-who attended a May 11 hearing with her parents, brother John, 39, and Toth, 41-is doing her best to manage the situation. "She's going to care for them," says the source. "But it's stressful." Betty's lawyer did not comment.

RIHANNA OUT OF CONTROL?

Less than a week after being so ill she needed an IV infusion, Rihanna was back on the club scene, hitting New York City hot spot Greenhouse May 12. Her seemingly cavalier attitude toward her health has friends worried. "She's gotten irresponsible with her partying," a music source tells Scoop of the singer, who missed her Saturday Night Live dress rehearsal May 5. "She's still functioning," adds a source, "but when you add it all up-she smokes and drinks a lot, doesn't eat properly and has a grueling schedule-you realize she's bound to hit a wall soon."

MATTHEW FOX MORE TROUBLE

On May 4, nine days after telling PEOPLE he wanted quiet "time with my family," Matthew Fox, 45, was arrested for DUI in Bend, Ore. He had a reputation as a partyer on the Hawaii set of Lost, and last August he allegedly assaulted the female driver of a party bus. A source says Fox "is just a good guy who made a mistake." Rehab is a no-go, "because there isn't a problem."

JANET JACKSON SHE'S STOPPED AGING!

Michael Jackson's little sister Janet turned 46 on May 16-but you'd never know it. The singer, who has been vocal about her lifelong struggle with weight, has very little to say about her seemingly ageless skin. Scoop went back 20 years and couldn't find one wrinkle in time!
