Taking the stand in an L.A. courtroom on Oct. 26, Lynne Spears blasted her daughter Britney's self-proclaimed former manager Sam Lutfi as a "predator." "He wanted to take over her life," she said in testimony for the ongoing trial in which Lutfi is suing Lynne for defaming him in her 2008 book Through the Storm and asking for management fees. "He wanted her life to be his life. And with all the paparazzi, that made him a predator because they were all over her. They were in her house. She had no privacy." Lynne, who wept during opening arguments, calmly stood by her statement that on Jan. 28, 2008-just days before the singer's second forced hospitalization-Lutfi, 38, told her that he "grinds up Britney's pills... and puts them in her food." Asked by Lutfi's attorney if she ever witnessed Lutfi disabling Britney's cars, as she also states in her book, Lynne replied indignantly, "Sam told me himself!"
It was one of many explosive moments in the trial, during which Lutfi has claimed that Britney slept in her car after temporarily losing custody of her sons Preston, 7, and Jayden, 6, and that Spears's dad, Jamie (whom he is also suing), punched him in the chest. The trial will last for several more weeks, even as the 30-year-old pop star faces a new challenge: judging her first live episodes of The X Factor beginning Nov. 1. With support from her fiance, Jason Trawick, 40, "she's doing just fine," says a source. "She's liking the show, but she's happier when she's at home hanging out with the kids."
J.LO & CASPER
ONE YEAR TOGETHER!
She calls him "Bear." He calls her "Lil Bear." And whatever you want to call the romance between Jennifer Lopez, 43, and her buff backup dancer Casper Smart, 25, if their gushing one-year anniversary tweets are any measure, their love affair is hotter than ever. "BEAUcasperSMART BEAR!!!! Today is OUR's!!" the singer tweeted to him on Oct. 25, a year after they started dating. "Thank you for sharing your beautiful smile with me everyday!#Special day#Love!" Smart, who's currently accompanying Lopez on her world tour, then tweeted: "Happy 1 yr. anniversary to the most Gorgeous, Kind, Sweet, Funny, Beautiful Lil Bear in the world...Love Bear." While Lopez's divorce from third husband, Marc Anthony, isn't finalized yet, a source close to Lopez says she'd like to have a baby with Smart once the tour wraps in December. Could that mean a little cub in their future?
HER LYRICS, DECODED!
IT'S EVERYONE'S FAVORITE PARLOR GAME: THE FULL DOSSIER ON HER ODES TO HER EXES
Relationship History: Swift, 22, dated the Jonas Brother, 23, from '07 to '08.
Likely Songs: "Forever and Always," "Better than Revenge."
Supporting Clues: Swift herself! She admitted on Ellen in '10 that "Forever" was about Jonas. "Better than Revenge," meanwhile, refers to "an actress" who stole Swift's guy: Jonas started dating movie star Camilla Belle right after Swift.
Relationship History: In '10 Swift went on latte dates with the actor, 31.
Likely Songs: "Red," "State of Grace," "All Too Well," "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together"-call Red the Jake album.

Relationship History: Their summer romance ended not long after Kennedy, 18, went back to school in September.
Likely Song: "Everything Has Changed" on her new album, Red, celebrates the start of a romance.

Relationship History: The pair were on and off in '09 to '10 after collaborating on his song "Half of My Heart."
Likely Song: "Dear John" was a no-brainer. But her new track "I Knew You Were Trouble" also strongly hints at the serial dater, 35.
Supporting Clues: Mayer's dating history mirrors the "Trouble" ex, who "[gives] love" only to "take it away" and treats girls like a "notch in your belt."
Relationship History: The singer dated the Twilight star, 20, in late '09 after meeting on the set of Valentine's Day.
Likely Song: "Back to December."
Supporting Clues: The tune refers to a guy's "tan skin" and "sweet smile" (just like Lautner!), and Swift apologizes for breaking up with him in December (which is when things ended for the pair).
