HOUSE HUNTING
Since John Mayer started dating Katy Perry last summer, he has vacationed with her in exotic locales, spent Christmas with her family and stood by her side as they watched President Obama get sworn in. Now the couple are taking the next big step: They're planning to move in together. A source who has spent time with the rocker and the pop star tells Scoop that Perry, 28, and Mayer, 35, were scheduled to tour "a handful of homes" in the L.A. area on Jan. 27.
Settling down is a big step for the Grammy winner, whose bad-boy reputation for loving (and leaving) starlets has often outshone his cred as a gifted musician-and a major indicator of how seriously he is taking his relationship with Perry, says another source. When Mayer split from Jennifer Aniston, 44, nearly four years ago, an insider said his reluctance to move in with the movie star was a key reason behind their breakup. "He always insisted he needed his own place to make music, but clearly that's changed," the insider says of Mayer, who has his own homes in Montana and L.A.'s San Fernando Valley. But, says the second source, "he mostly hangs out at Katy's place in L.A."
The couple's nesting news comes on the heels of a PDA-filled trip to Washington, D.C., where Perry headlined the Kids' Inaugural Concert on Jan. 19. They spent three days touring the city, and Perry even called Mayer her "beau" and a "major cutie" in personal snapshots of the weekend she shared with Vogue.com. "They've both acted very private in the past, but they seem comfortable about going public with their relationship now," says the second source. "They really seem very happy."

After three years of construction, Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady's Brentwood, Calif., estate is finally move-in ready. The 22,000-sq.-ft. eco-friendly home, worth a reported $20 million, boasts 8 bedrooms, a wine cellar and a gym. Outside there's a pool and a play castle. "We are an active family," Bundchen, 32, told PEOPLE, "so we'll spend a lot of time outdoors!"

Countering her own filing, Bethenny Frankel's ex Jason Hoppy, 41, has reportedly also asked for primary custody of their daughter Bryn, 2. "Bethenny thinks she can steamroll anyone who gets in her way," says a Hoppy source. "Jason is making it clear he will challenge her every step." For now the former couple are still living together-Hoppy's sleeping in the "man cave"-and the split could be fodder for the reality star's next project. According to a source, Frankel, 42, is writing a self-help book for women.
