DEMI MOORE & ASHTON KUTCHER
HER $25 MILLION DEMAND
A year and a half after their split, Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher continue to haggle over the details of their divorce—specifically how to divide their estimated $300 million-plus in combined assets. Now Moore, 50, could be seeking at least $25 million in a lump sum payment from her ex, a business source close to Kutcher tells Scoop. "They have disagreements over some money he invested and what it will be worth down the road," adds an insider who has worked with Kutcher. "Demi wants to up her side to compensate for what she could lose out on later after every-thing is signed."
Since he wed Moore in 2005, Kutcher, 35, has put money in tech start-ups like Skype (see box)—investments that wouldn't have been possible without her help, according to a source close to the Moore family. "Demi introduced him to powerful friends that took Ashton under their wings," says the source. "He would have never been able to make so much money if he had not met them." One key relationship: Kutcher's partnership with Guy Oseary, a Moore pal. In 2010 the two (with billionaire Ron Burkle) launched A-Grade Investments, which is valued at $100 million. While Moore, who filed for spousal support in March, may claim she is entitled to future profits, the Kutcher insider counters, "He did his homework. Most of this has nothing to do with Demi."
Outside of the courtroom, both parties are moving on. Moore has been focused on repairing her relationships with her daughters, while Kutcher continues to globe-trot with girlfriend Mila Kunis, 29. "He has a new life and is very happy," says the Kutcher insider. Adds the Moore source: "She's not bitter, and she's not looking back."
KRISTEN & ROB
CALLING IT QUITS
The tumultuous romance of Twilight costars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart survived a cheating scandal and then months spent over 7,000 miles apart—but now the couple have split again, according to a source close to the actor. Reunited after her tryst with director Rupert Sanders last summer, they seemed stronger than ever once Pattinson returned from filming in Australia in March: The usually under-the-radar couple had PDA-filled outings for Stewart's 23rd birthday on April 9 and at Coachella. But after they returned from a New York trip on May 8, things deteriorated. "They went from spending every second together to spending more time at their separate houses," says a source. Indeed, they spent his 27th birthday on May 13 apart, despite being in the same city. Six days later Pattinson was seen leaving Stewart's home, where they'd been living together, in a truck filled with his belongings and his two dogs. But the saga may yet continue. Says the Pattinson insider: "I wouldn't be surprised if they get back together."
