The Client List's Jennifer Love Hewitt is expecting her first child with costar Brian Hallisay. "This is a wonderful time," Hewitt told PEOPLE in a statement. "We are looking forward to starting our family together." A day after sharing their June 4 baby news, the couple, both 34, announced they were engaged to be married. The two have been together for about 15 months.

Top Chef Masters host Curtis Stone, 37, wed actress Lindsay Price, 36, on Spain's island of Majorca at the Hilton Sa Torre Mallorca Resort. Among the guests at the June 8 wedding was Price's former Beverly Hills, 90210 costar Tiffani Thiessen. The couple have a 20-month-old son Hudson.

ENGAGED

Mad Men's Linda Cardellini (inset) announced on the June 7 episode of The View that she's marrying her longtime boyfriend Steven Rodriguez, 39. "I was surprised that it was happening at that moment," the ER alum, 37, said when asked about the proposal, which took place in front of family and friends. "We were sitting, and he started getting choked up and then got on his knee." The pair are parents to daughter Lilah-Rose, 15 months.

HOSPITALIZED

On June 6 Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, Queen Elizabeth II's consort and Prince William's grandfather, was admitted to a London hospital for exploratory abdominal surgery. According to Buckingham Palace officials, the duke is "comfortable and in good spirits" following his operation. He is expected to stay in the hospital for up to two weeks. The Queen and her son Prince Edward visited Prince Philip on June 10, his 92nd birthday.

BABY

Jensen Ackles, 35, the star of TV's Supernatural, and his wife, actress Danneel Harris, 34, welcomed their first child, Justice Jay, on May 30. "We are happy to announce the birth of our precious baby girl," Harris tweeted. The couple have been married since 2010.

IN COURT

Ariel Castro, 52, the former school bus driver accused of kidnapping Michelle Knight, 32, Amanda Berry, 27, and Gina DeJesus, 23, has been charged with more than 300 counts of rape and kidnapping. The women were held captive in his Cleveland home for about a decade. On June 7 Castro was also charged for murder, allegedly terminating one of the women's pregnancies. A decision as to whether prosecutors will seek the death penalty has not yet been made.

POPULAR SWIMMING MOVIE STAR DIES

Swimmer-turned-screen-star Esther Williams, one of the world's most popular actresses in the '40s and '50s, died in her sleep on June 6 in L.A. She was 91. Williams turned to acting after the 1940 Helsinki Olympics were canceled due to World War II. She then went on to find fame appearing in aquatic musicals featuring daredevil stunts and fancy dance numbers. She starred in more than 20 films, including 1952's Million Dollar Mermaid. After her 1962 marriage to actor and director Fernando Lamas, Williams retired from acting.
