GEORGE CLOONEY & STACY KEIBLER
YEP, IT'S OVER
The original Bachelor, George Clooney, has said farewell to yet another girlfriend: After two years the actor, 52, and Stacy Keibler, 33, have split. For dedicated Clooney watchers, the news came as no surprise. Since March they'd been living on separate continents while the actor filmed in Europe. Though Keibler last month gushed to PEOPLE about using FaceTime to keep in touch, the writing was on the wall when she was recently asked if she'd soon go to Lake Como, where Clooney has a home. Her answer: "Hopefully."
So why is one of the sexiest men alive single again? "Stacy called it quits," says a source close to the couple. "She wants to have children and a family someday. She knows where George stands on that." At one point Keibler appeared to be on board with his stance. ("I've always known fatherhood wasn't for me," Clooney, who was once wed to Talia Balsam, said in 2011. "That's why I'll never get married again.") As she said in October, "I'm not really interested in thinking about marriage and kids. That's not on my radar at all." But as the months went on, "they realized they're in two different places in their lives," says a pal. "They have less in common than they thought."
Though their romance has ended, the busy pair (Clooney will promote Gravity in August, and Keibler hosts Lifetime's Supermarket Superstar) remain in contact, and she was even spotted at the home they shared the day before news of their split broke. Says the source: "They were friends before they started dating, and they'll be friends after."
The GAME of GEORGE
SCOOP NAVIGATES THE FABULOUS TWISTS AND TURNS OF DATING THE STAR: NO MARRIAGE, BUT PLENTY OF MEMORIES!
Have a Wheely Double Date
Move forward, Speed Racer! Like Elisabetta Canalis in 2009, George has introduced you to his love of motorcycles and (bonus points!) some of his best friends, Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford.
Walk the Red Carpet
Lose a turn! You need time to hire a stylist. As Céline Balitran (at the Golden Globes in '98) learned, dating an A-list actor means a lot of glam events.
Visit an A-List Movie Set
Lucky you: Roll again! George doesn't take just anyone behind the scenes. Sarah Larson visited him on-set in 2007.
Abuse Your Fifteen Minutes
Go back a space. You used your new fame poorly, as Canalis did when she boogied on Italian TV.
Wine and Dine in Italy
Collect ... thousands of frequent-flier miles! Enjoy la dolce vita at George's breathtaking Lake Como estate, like Canalis did in 2010.
Meet the Parents
Congrats! As in any relationship, hanging with his folks (like Keibler in 2011) is a major milestone.
Now there's a plot twist. In a move that surprised even her Scandal costars and crew, Kerry Washington, 36, wed San Francisco 49ers player Nnamdi Asomugha, 32, at a private residence in Hailey, Idaho, on June 24. "No one on the show knew she even had a boyfriend," says a source. The couple, who have never stepped out together publicly, are both active in charitable causes: He started a foundation to help the poor in the U.S. and Africa through education, and she's on the board of a group that fights violence against women. The UC Berkeley-educated Asomugha is "a modern-day Renaissance man," says another source. "He's incredibly empathetic and caring." As for the stealth bride? Says a Hollywood insider: "She is very smart, very sweet - and very private."
A PRINCESS FOR HARRY?
The yearlong romance between Prince Harry and Cressida Bonas is rocking on. The pair stayed out until 4 a.m. at the Glastonbury Festival on June 29 and chilled backstage at a Mumford & Sons concert the following weekend. But Bonas, 24, a dance school grad, could become more than a posh partyer. With impeccable aristocratic credentials (she is close friends with Harry's cousin Princess Eugenie and attended the same schools as his ex Chelsy Davy) and manners ("She would never say anything nasty about anyone," says a Bonas pal), she's primed to wear a tiara - if Harry, 28, plays his cards right. His royal status "might be a bit of a stumbling block; she is not socially ambitious," says her friend, who adds that Harry "is being very protective of her. He doesn't want to blow it."
MILEY'S STYLE MUSES
The singer's got a look that's all her own - with some notable influences
A Beetlejuice-approved ensemble.
Cutouts Vivian Ward would flaunt.
Her fluffy shorts are Rugrats couture.
Channeling Judas Priest's Rob Halford.
She could be the fourth member of TLC.
