Blurred Lines singer-producer Pharrell Williams, 40, exchanged vows with girlfriend and model-designer Helen Lasichanh on Oct. 12 at Miami's Kampong National Tropical Botanical Garden. The couple had applied for a marriage license on Oct. 9. Mad Men actor Ben Feldman, 33, and fiancée Michelle Mulitz, 29, tied the knot during a rustic barnyard ceremony on Oct. 12 at Smokey Glen Farm in Gaithersburg, Md. Among the more than 350 guests was CNN's Wolf Blitzer. "No amount of thunderstorms, police chases, government shutdowns or self-immolations could keep us from having the best party of our lives," the couple told PEOPLE.
Style mogul Ivanka Trump, 31, and her husband, Jared Kushner, 31, announced they had their second child, a boy. "We just welcomed a beautiful & healthy son into the world. Jared, Arabella and I couldn't be happier!" Trump tweeted on Oct. 14. The couple's daughter was born in 2011. Last month Trump told PEOPLE that Arabella was more than thrilled to become a big sister. Trump and Kushner have yet to reveal the name of their newborn. Dr. Jennifer Arnold, 39, and her husband, Bill Klein, 38, stars of TLC's The Little Couple, announced to PEOPLE that after months of foreign-adoption negotiations, they are thrilled to have "picked up our beautiful daughter" on Oct. 14. Two-year-old Zoey will join brother Will, 3, at the couple's home in Houston.
Pulitzer Prize-winning Cuban-American novelist Oscar Hijuelos died of a heart attack on Oct. 12 after collapsing on a tennis court in Manhattan. He was 62. Hijuelos, who became the first Latino to win the Pulitzer for fiction for 1989's bestselling The Mambo Kings Play Songs of Love, is survived by his wife of 15 years, Lori Marie Carlson.
Once Upon a Time costars Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas announced to People exclusively that they are engaged to be married. Dallas, who has said falling for Goodwin hit him "like a blinding light," popped the question in Los Angeles on Oct. 9. The two met on the set of the hit series. "We are so thrilled to announce our engagement and can't wait to celebrate with our friends and family," said the couple.
