Elizabeth Vargas, 51, the coanchor of ABC's 20/20, has checked in to rehab for alcohol abuse. The award-winning journalist, who last appeared on air in October, entered a residential treatment facility a few weeks ago. In a statement released on Nov. 6, she explained, "Like so many people, I am dealing with addiction ... I will deal with this challenge one day at a time. If coming forward today gives one other person the courage to seek help, I'm grateful." She has two sons, Zachary, 10, and Samuel, 7, with husband, singer-songwriter Marc Cohn, 54.

Actor David Arquette, 42, and his girlfriend, omg! Insider correspondent Christina McLarty, 32, are expecting their first baby together. The two started dating in 2011. Arquette already is a father to daughter Coco, 9, with ex-wife Courteney Cox Arquette.
The Rev. Billy Graham celebrated his 95th birthday on Nov. 7 by making a rare public appearance at a party held in his honor at the Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville, N.C. Nearly 1,000 well-wishers attended the bash, including Donald Trump, Kathie Lee Gifford and Sarah Palin. Graham, who has not preached publicly since 2006, delivered a taped message to his guests.
On Nov. 9 Mad Men's Jared Harris, 52, who played Lane Pryce on the AMC series, wed Allegra Riggio, 38, on a yacht in Miami. Country star Rodney Atkins, 44, exchanged vows with singer-songerwriter Rose Falcon, 29, on Captiva Island, Fla., on Nov. 10. Atkins's son Elijah, 12, acted as his best man. This is his second marriage.
Renowned Chicago chef Charlie Trotter died on Nov. 5 from causes still unknown. He was 54. Trotter, who closed his eponymous restaurant last year, was found unconscious at his home. A memorial service was held on Nov. 11.
On Nov. 7 scientists in Switzerland revealed that test results on the remains of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat showed he had ingested lethal radioactive polonium before his death in 2004. He died on Nov. 11 at a French military hospital a month after falling ill. An investigation is ongoing.
Utah Doctor Guilty of Murdering Wife
On Nov. 9 Martin MacNeill, 57, was found guilty of the 2007 murder of his wife, Michele, 50. After the verdict was read in a hushed Provo courtroom, MacNeill's daughters - who had fought to get him convicted - cried out in relief. Prosecutors had accused MacNeill of overmedicating his wife and drowning her in a bathtub so that he could start a new life with his mistress. He faces life in prison. "The person we knew as my father does not exist," daughter Alexis Somers, 31, told PEOPLE. "This is a person I once loved. But we uncovered who our dad really is: a murderer. For the first time in six years, we can finally breathe. And now our mother can be at peace as well."
