Shania Twain 'Working Hard' to Get Over Split

A "bubbly" Shania Twain was seen shopping in Toronto recently and friends say the star is "progressing" after her shocking split from producer-songwriter husband Mutt Lange in May amid allegations of his affair.

Twain, whose son Eja D’Angelo turns seven Tuesday, "is doing Okay," a source says. "She is working hard to get over her split from Mutt. Life has to continue – that's her motto. She is a strong woman.”

Another source says, "There's still a lot of recovery to come but she's using the help of her friends and family. On a scale of one to 10, she is certainly not there yet but she is progressing."

Meanwhile both Twain, 42, and Lange, 59, have been spotted – separately – in Canada recently. Lange was seen looking cheery at a bank with Eja. "He looked like he was in a good mood," says a witness. "He was having a nice day out with his kid."

Twain made a dinner stop at Toronto eatery Kit Kat Bar and Grill. "She looked fantastic," says owner John Carbone. "She came in wearing these great shorts, sandals and a really pretty sweater. She was just gorgeous. Her mood was very bubbly." Twain also shopped at the department store Holt Renfrew, where she was "all smiles," according to a witness.
