Amanda Bynes was not present during a Van Nuys, Calif., hearing on Thursday morning for her two hit-and-run charges, but her lawyer, Richard Hutton, pleaded not guilty on her behalf.
Stemming from incidents on April 10 and Aug. 4, L.A. Superior Court Judge Rebecca Omens said Bynes, 26, who is currently in New York, is required to be back in Los Angeles within 48 hours of her next hearing, which is set for Oct. 19.
The former Nickelodeon star, 26, also faces a DUI charge and two counts of driving with a suspended license.
The actress's April case was reopened following the Aug. incident, during which a driver claimed that Bynes rear-ended and damaged her Toyota, the Los Angeles Times reports. The allegations state Bynes stopped only briefly, declared there was no damage and drove off.
Lt. Andrew Neiman of the LAPD told the Times that investigators determined the alleged victim's car had about $800 in damage, and that Bynes did not notify police or exchange insurance information as required by law.
