"It's a five-girl group, multiracial, pop, R&B-ish, really, really, funky," says Jackson, 28, of the group, which first appeared on 2001's The Princess Diaries soundtrack.
A debut album is expected sometime soon, though there are few details about what it might sound like or who else is involved. "I'm not gonna say yet, I want it to be a big surprise, but it's some really incredible people," Jackson said.
One thing the album will include are songs written by Jackson about her situation with Federline, with whom she had a second child – Kaleb, born in July, only two months before Federline married Britney Spears. Their daughter Kori was born in 2002.
The situation will be fodder for more than just a song. Jackson also plans a reality show "just following the life of a single mom in Hollywood, you know, just raising her kids and doing her thing," she said.
As for her children (Jackson also has two older ones: Cassie, 9, and Donnie, 11): "They're awesome," she says. "Don't talk about them (or else) I'm gonna cry."
