As if Brad Pitt needed more bad news this week: Preliminary ballots are making the rounds for the 25th annual "Razzie" Award nominations, and the actor is under consideration for his summer epic Troy.

The nominations for the year's worst movies won't be announced until Jan. 24 (the day before Oscar nominations come out), but the first round of contenders shows Pitt as a candidate for worst actor, alongside Colin Farrell for Alexander and Hugh Jackman for Van Helsing.

Troy is also under consideration for worst screen couple (Pitt and either Rose Byrne or Garrett Hedlund), director Wolfgang Peterson, screenplay, supporting actress Diane Kreuger, supporting actor Orlando Bloom and worst picture.

Tough competition may come from Alexander, which is up for worst screen couple (Farrell and either Jared Leto, Rosario Dawson or Angelina Jolie – who also could up for a worst actress nod), director Oliver Stone, screenplay, supporting actors Val Kilmer and Anthony Hopkins, and worst picture. Van Helsing is basically in the same boat, though it also qualifies as worst remake in addition to worst picture.

The Razzies, saluting Hollywood's worst, will be presented on Feb. 26, one day before Oscar honors.

Meantime, Pitt himself is back at work. Just days after returning from his pre-separation getaway with Jennifer Aniston in the Caribbean, the actor, 41, arrived in Tokyo for the premiere of Ocean's Twelve with costar George Clooney.
