She certainly has her share of troubles on the small screen as Shannon on the ABC hit Lost, but in her downtime, actress Maggie Grace is all smiles. "I try to take advantage of as much as I can on my days off living in Hawaii. It's absolutely surreal. I'm from Ohio, so I'm loving it," she tells us. "I learned to surf. I'm not very good yet but I did get my first wave a while ago. I've been hiking and we went deep sea fishing a few times. I did better than the boys, actually."
Speaking of tropical paradises, John Travolta spent a recent weekend relaxing at the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne in Miami, spies tell us. It was Travolta's second visit to the hotel in the past month. Though last time he brought wife Kelly Preston and their two kids, this time he was alone, dining at the hotel's ocean view restaurant in a private room (wearing a baseball cap that said 707 – a reference to his love of flying planes) and taking in a few spa treatments. Guests and staff alike report that he was friendly and talkative. Perhaps he was resting up before having to promote his upcoming movie, Be Cool (sequel to his 1995 film Get Shorty), due in March? Other celebs who have visited the hotel recently: Brad Pitt (with family and friends around the Orange Bowl game earlier this month), Jerry Seinfeld, Whitney Houston, Jon Bon Jovi, Matthew Perry and Bill Murray.
Caught in the Act
CSI: Miami star Emily Proctor, lunching on spicy tuna hand rolls and green iced tea at hot Miami eatery SushiSamba Dromo. Another recent star guest: Billy Joel and his wife of four months, Katie Lee, in South Florida for Donald Trump's nuptials. They dined on edamame, skewered shrimp, eel and yellowtail, and sipped hot sake. Spies tell us the couple was very friendly to fans and even posed for photos.
Anna Kournikova and Enrique Iglesias, at a Miami Heat basketball game. Also in the stands: New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez.
Dan Aykroyd, with his family, dining at Mixx in the Borgata Hotel in Atlantic City. Also at the hotel recently: Joe Piscopo, relaxing at the Gypsy Bar. Soon after arriving, the Saturday Night Live alum surprised members of local band Screaming Broccolli by jumping onstage to sing along.
