'Long Island Lolita' Amy Fisher Has a Girl
Amy Fisher, best known as the teenager who had an affair with Joey Buttafuoco and shot his wife, has given birth to a baby girl.
Ava Rose was born on Jan. 26, a spokeswoman tells the Associated Press.
Fisher, once nicknamed the "Long Island Lolita," is now married to a retired police officer. Now 30, she spent nearly seven years in prison for shooting Mary Jo Buttafuoco in the head outside Buttafuoco's Massapequa home in May 1992, when Fisher was just 17.
Her former lover, Joey Buttafuoco, now 48, spent four months behind bars on statutory rape charges. Mary Jo survived the shooting but suffered permanent nerve damage.
Fisher currently pens a column for the Long Island Press, a free weekly, and she also wrote an autobiography published last year, If I Knew Then....
Besides their daughter, Fisher and her husband, Lou, have a 4-year-old son, Brett.
Alyssa Milano starred as Amy Fisher in a CBS TV movie Casualties of Love: The Long Island Lolita Story in 1994.
