'GoDaddy Girl' Ready for Her Close-Up
Candice Beckman, an actress and former Playboy pinup who goes by the professional name Candice Michelle, is set to star in at least two more ads for GoDaddy, which raised eyebrows during Sunday's Super Bowl and even led FOX to yank the commercial before it could run a second time.
Sunday's spot featured the voluptuous Michelle testifying before a censorship committee in Salem, Mass., dressed in a tight tank top. Her tank top strap then snaps off, leading to a "wardrobe malfunction" and a sexy dance for the committee. FOX ad execs decided to pull the ad after deciding it was "out of step" with the other Super Bowl commercials.
As for the new ads, "They will be completely different from the Super Bowl commercial," Nima Kelly, v.p. of public relations for the Scottsdale, Ariz.-based GoDaddy.com, tells Arizona's East Valley Tribune. "There will be no committees or dancing, but they will feature the same actress."
Meanwhile, the controversy could work wonders for Michelle's career. The 26-year-old Milwaukee native is getting more exposure from her 30-second ad than for her past gigs, which include appearances in the Ben Stiller movie Dodgeball, the TV show Monk, competing to become "WWE Raw Diva," a stint as a "Juggy Girl" on Comedy Central's The Man Show and as a model for Playboy. She also appeared on Howard Stern's show Thursday morning.
According to her Web site bio, Michelle's favorite colors are lavender and baby pink, her favorite sport is basketball and she's a huge Green Bay Packers fan.
