The between-awards entertainment for this year's Oscar ceremony is off to a good start. Pop diva Beyoncé will perform three songs from Oscar-nominated movies, including a duet of "Believe," from Tom Hanks's Polar Express, with crooner Josh Groban, news service AFP reports.

Beyoncé and Groban are the first musical acts to sign on for the 77th Academy Awards, and they will be joined by the Counting Crows, who will perform "Accidentally in Love" from Shrek 2, which was also nominated.

The other songs on Beyoncé's roster are "Look to Your Path" from Les Choristes (The Chorus) and "Learn to Be Lonely" from The Phantom of the Opera.

In addition to the music acts, Robin Williams has been added to the expanding list of presenters that already includes Charlize Theron, Halle Berry, Orlando Bloom, Renee Zellweger, Gwyneth Paltrow and Martin Scorsese. The ceremony will be a big evening for Scorsese, whose Howard Hughes biopic The Aviator is up for 11 awards including Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actor for star Leonardo DiCaprio.

In other Oscar news, ABC, which will broadcast the ceremony, has announced it will use a time delay for the telecast, Reuters reports. The delay is an effort to block out any inappropriate language or incidents similar to Janet Jackson's "wardrobe malfunction" during her halftime performance at the 2004 Super Bowl.

Comedian Chris Rock, who's hosting the Feb. 27 show from Hollywood's Kodak Theatre, has promised to be on his best behavior even though his normal stand-up act would cause some trouble for network censors.

A spokeswoman for the network confirmed the delay, but did not say how long it would be. ABC decided to impose the time lag itself.
