Ashton Kutcher, hot on the promotional trail of his and Bernie Mac's new movie Guess Who, has hit nearly every TV talk show on the air, from Oprah and Late Show with David Letterman to Live! With Regis and Kelly and MTV Total Request Live.
The one question that seems to follow Kutcher, 27, wherever he goes: What about those rumblings about girlfriend Demi Moore's being pregnant? Or, as Carmen Electra puts it bluntly on TRL: "Rumor has it that you might be having a baby. If that rumor is true, do you want a girl or a boy and what will you name it?"
Basically, Ashton's answer is always the same. As he said at a press conference for the movie: "Why am I the last person to find out everything? If Demi is pregnant she's certainly not showing yet."
Meanwhile, Moore is not taking the rumors sitting down. In a statement, her publicist says, "Although having another child is something Demi would like to do, unfortunately she can't at this time say she is pregnant."
And while Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa were content kidding around with Kutcher, they never addressed the baby rumor. Instead, they asked what it was like to meet Demi's ex, Bruce Willis, for the first time.
Demi delivered the news to Ashton while he was airborne that Willis would be at the airport when the plane from Idaho landed in L.A. Responded Ashton: "Can we turn the plane around?"
On another pressing matter, why Mario Vazquez may have quit American Idol, Kutcher posited: "I don't think he's Mario Vazquez at all. I think he's Wilmer Valderrama from That '70s Show."
