Princes Harry and William
Putting to rest rumors of a family snub, Prince William and his soon-to-be stepbrother, Tom Parker Bowles, will share the key duty of officially witnessing the April 8 marriage of Prince Charles to Camilla Parker Bowles at The Guildhall, Windsor, Charles's office confirmed Wednesday.
Besides, William, 22, also in attendance will be Prince Harry, 20, as well as Charles's siblings: Prince Andrew, Prince Edward and Sophie Wessex, and Princess Anne and her husband, Rear Admiral Timothy Laurence.
On Camilla's side, besides her daughter Laura, guests are expected to include the bride's father, Major Bruce Shand, and her siblings, Annabel Elliott and Mark Shand.
Palace sources say they hope that the senior royals' presence will go some way to counter suggestions that the non-appearance of the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh was meant to be a snub of the nuptials.
The civil ceremony, conducted by superintendent registrar Clair Williams, will be followed by a service of blessing and dedication, led by the Archbishop of Canterbury, at St George's Chapel, at Windsor Castle.
