Potter's rep, Beth Walker Ehrich, confirms the baby news, saying, "She is due in the fall."
Potter, 33, is engaged to the father-to-be, boyfriend Chris Allison, a Los Angeles doctor. The couple, who met a mutual friend's party, plan to marry, but "there is no date set," Ehrich says.
Potter has appeared in such films as Con Air and Patch Adams.
