Osbournes Back Out of Vagina Monologues
They have canceled their six-week engagement "due to unavoidable personal reasons," reports the BBC, which adds that the two were scheduled to return to their Los Angeles base this past weekend so Aimee, 21, could receive treatment for an undisclosed illness.
"Sharon's focus now has to be on the family and, more importantly, Aimee's health," said a statement, which also contained an apology for "letting the cast down.".
Both mother and daughter – and, according to reports, family patriarch Ozzy Osbourne – were treated for smoke inhalation after a fire broke out in their English country house last week.
Fleeing from their beds, the Osbournes, with their pets, reportedly rushed to safety in their outdoor garden, as firefighters arrived on the scene. It was thought at the time of the blaze that its cause was faulty electrical wiring.
"I am beginning to wonder when this bad luck's ever going to stop," Sharon, 51, was quoted as telling Britain's Sun tabloid.
Besides Sharon's well-documented battle with cancer, last November thieves broke into the mansion and stole jewelry, and earlier last year Ozzy, now 56, suffered a near-fatal crash on his quad bike while on the grounds of the estate.
