Former Trading Spaces carpenter-hunk Ty Pennington, who now emotes on ABC's successful Extreme Makeover: Home Edition as well as in commercials for Sears, can add another new notch to his tool belt.

The soul-patched sex symbol, 40, is introducing his new "Ty Pennington Style" lines of colorful and retro-styled bedding, bath and table-top accessories that he's designed, to be sold as of this coming Sunday at Sears stores nationwide. Additional lines will be available on the retail giant's Web site.

In a price comparison, the Chicago Sun-Times notes that Pennington's goods at Sears are more expensive than Martha Stewart's at Kmart, with a Ty Pennington Style complete bedding set costing from $120 to $200, while Martha's goes for $79.99 to $109.99.

Pennington's lines include Caliente Stripe, featuring "hot oranges and peppery reds"; Lemongrass, with embroidery and more neutral colors; and Bali Hai, showing off what Sears described as "soft blues, bold florals and lush fabrics." He calls the look "streamlined with accents," reports The New York Times, which quotes Pennington on the color green (as found in his faux-leather placements): "It's calming and brings in the outside."

The online lines include Four Red Dragon, "Chocolatte," Plum Crazy and Luscious Lava.

The Sun-Times says the makeover guru will oversee a design team of 13 people at Sears headquarters, and that Pennington's decorative pillows range from $16.99 to $29.99. No word on whether he'll also barge into your house with a bullhorn.
