Madonna Sued By Concert Tour TV Producers
Madonna is being sued by a British director and a production company that claim she owes more than $300,000 in production fees and expenses for a TV special based on her 2004 "Reinvention" world tour.
Madonna's spokeswoman, Liz Rosenberg, has not commented on the legal action, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court by director Hamish Hamilton and the Rude Corp., the Associated Press reports.
Hamilton says he followed Madonna concerts in New York, Florida, California, Nevada France and the UK and scouted locations in Portugal for the TV special.
It was a lucrative tour – for Madonna. The 46-year-old singer sold out 55 of 56 shows on the tour, making about $2.23 million a night, and earning her the crown as highest paid artist of 2004, with $125 million, according to Billboard.
