Martha's The Apprentice will air on Wednesdays, while the Donald keeps his Thursday night slot. (His third-season finale takes place this week.)
There had been some talk that with less viewer interest in The Apprentice this season, the network might alternate future versions, with Stewart hosting one and Trump another. Instead, viewers will be able to see double.
However, this might upset faithful followers of The West Wing, which will lose its Wednesday night slot – and move to Sundays, Reuters reports.
Stewart's show, due to air at 8 p.m., will be followed (in the Wing position) by The E-Ring, starring Benjamin Bratt and Dennis Hopper as Pentagon-based guardians of homeland security.
And in other NBC news, Today Show news anchor Ann Curry will join Stone Phillips as cohost of Dateline NBC, the network announced, and over at FOX Jason Bateman will be keeping his day job.
That network announced the return next season of the 2-year-old Emmy-winning cult hit Arrested Development, which has attracted a devoted following (if not huge ratings). Still, no word yet on what day or time the sitcom will appear, though its current Sunday perch is likely to go to another show.
