Nine days after it went on the market, the California home in which Scott Peterson may have murdered his wife Laci and their unborn son in December 2003 has been sold for $379,000, reports the Modesto Bee.
The new owner of the three-bedroom, two-bath "cottage-bungalow" has not been named, though real-estate broker Mary Prieto tells the newspaper that the information will become public once the sale becomes final.
Scott and Laci reportedly purchased the home In October 2000 for $177,000. Among their additions was a swimming pool and a conversion of the garage into a living room.
The buyers "loved the neighborhood," said Prieto, who represents Laci's mother Sharon Rocha (who is executor of her murdered daughter’s estate) and Scott Peterson's parents, Lee and Jackie.
Despite knowledge of the house's history, Prieto said the buyers were "very, very pleased upon viewing the home (and) were very pleased with the charm the house has to offer."
Peterson is currently on Death Row in San Quentin for taking the lives of his wife and child.
