Nancy Reagan Briefly Hospitalized
Former first lady Nancy Reagan was briefly hospitalized Thursday after falling in her London hotel room.
Reagan, 83, who is vacationing in the U.K., was bruised in the fall, but resumed her visit after a quick checkup at a hospital, her Los Angeles-based spokesman told Reuters.
"She's walking, but she's walking slower than normal," said her spokeswoman, Joanne Drake, adding that Reagan nevertheless kept several appointments after her fall, including visits with Prince Charles and former prime minister Margaret Thatcher.
Doctors advised Reagan, the widow of former President Ronald Reagan, to limit her activities over the next few weeks to allow her to heal.
Drake said she did not know how Reagan fell.
Reagan's trip, a planned 10-day vacation, is her first visit abroad since her husband died last June. She turns 84 next month.
