Brad Pitt may or not be having a relationship with his onscreen Mr. & Mrs. Smith costar Angelina Jolie, but he is about to join with her ex-husband, Billy Bob Thornton, for a project.
Thornton is set to star in Peace Like a River, a new Warner Bros. movie being produced by Pitt. The film is an adaptation of a book by Leif Enger, about an American family that gets into a vengeful battle with some neighborhood bullies, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Besides Pitt, another producer on the film is veteran David Brown, whose credits include Jaws and The Sting.
As for Thornton, who was married to Jolie from 2000-03, he's just completed a remake of Bad News Bears, due to open July 22 and feature him as the cranky little league coach originally played by Walter Matthau.
No start date or director for Peace Like a River has been announced.
