The delay was caused by an undisclosed setback suffered by Jenik's mother – though she's now regained her health, Jenik tells USA Today, adding that he and Janney will wed by next April.
"Babies are definitely in negotiations," Jenik, 37, added. Both he and Janney, 44, are promoting their upcoming movie, Our Very Own.
The couple, who live in Los Angeles and have dated for three years, were vacationing in San Francisco on May 17 of last year when he popped the question.
At the time they announced their engagement, Janney said in a radio interview that they expected to marry over Christmas 2004.
