Eminem's Tour Bus Crashes and Overturns
Although the rapper himself was not onboard, Eminem's Anger Management Tour bus crashed and overturned after hitting two trucks on an interstate Missouri highway Wednesday night, police said. An investigation is under way.
Eleven people were injured, including the star's DJ, bodyguard and a protégé, the rapper Stat Quo, the Associated Press reports. Stat Quo was later treated in a hospital and released.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol cited a driver who was hit in the incident saying that the tour bus was speeding at 80-90 mph when it ran off the road to avoid hitting a semi truck. It then swerved back onto the roadway and hit the truck before colliding with another semi and overturning.
The crash occurred about 25 miles east of Kansas City as the bus was headed to Denver from Chicago, where the tour performed Monday night.
Authorities say at least seven people from the tour were taken to the hospital; four others, including three on motorcycles, also went to the hospital.
A 37-year-old motorcyclist was in serious condition; no information was released on his passenger, at the patient's request, authorities said. There were no other serious injuries.
