ROWLING RECORD: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, published at midnight last Saturday, sold a record 6.9 million copies in the U.S. in its first 24 hours. Yet before sitting down to the keyboard again (for the seventh and final book in the series), author J.K. Rowling foresees spending time with her 6-month-old daughter, Mackenzie Jean. "I have already done some work on it and I am still doing little bits and pieces, but realistically I have still got a very young baby, so I think probably next year I will do the proper writing of book seven," said Rowling.
COURTROOM COLIN: Colin Farrell was granted a temporary restraining order to keep former girlfriend Nicole Narain from selling, showing or distributing a 15-minute video of them having sex. According to the Alexander star's complaint, the video was made by Farrell and model-actress Narain in 2003, with the agreement that they would never release it to the public, reported the Associated Press. Farrell seeks general and compensatory damages as well as an injunction prohibiting the promotion and sale of the tape.
SECURE SIMPSON: Jessica Simpson's dad says that rumors of a split between his daughter and her hubby Nick Lachey are dead wrong. As Joe Simpson told PEOPLE: "Do they fight? Hell yes, they fight. Have there been moments when Nick has wanted to leave Jessica or Jess has wanted to leave Nick? Absolutely." But he's also quick to add that the squabbles are not a sign of major trouble in the relationship. "(It's the) same with me and my wife. If fighting is a sign of divorce, then we're all going to get divorced. My wife and I have been married 27 years. We've been at the edge of divorce for 26 of them."
