WEEK AHEAD: Pam & Tommy Take Over
SUNDAY, AUG. 14: "You have to be a strong person to do this," Pamela Anderson told PEOPLE before taping her Comedy Central Roast of Pamela Anderson on Aug. 7 in Los Angeles. While comics and former husband Tommy Lee roast the former Baywatch babe, Anderson gets in some nice digs herself. To Lee about their relationship: "Those were the happiest years of your life." Comedy Central airs the special at 10 p.m. ET.
Meanwhile, imagine John Lennon on Broadway. A new stage show paying tribute to the late Beatle, billed as "a musical biography, a concert, and a celebration all in one," debuts on Broadway on Sunday. Though Lennon has undergone some last-minute rejiggering (its opening date has shifted several times), it does have the approval of his wife, Yoko Ono, who's one of the producers of the show.
TUESDAY, AUG. 16: Two nights after Pam's big night, Tommy Lee enters the spotlight with his new NBC reality series Tommy Lee Goes to College, which follows the tattooed Motley Crue rocker as he navigates his way through the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. But before he matriculated, the network made sure he was on his best behavior around the female student bodies. "I got read the riot act," Lee tells PEOPLE. "NBC was like, 'Look, we're advising you: Don't look and don't touch.'" Watch the bad-boy rocker try to work his academic magic in the six-episode series, which premieres on Aug. 16 at 9 p.m. ET.
Also on Aug. 16, Hilary Duff and Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo star Rob Schneider will cohost the 2005 Teen Choice Awards, honoring teen fans' favorite celebs. Gwen Stefani will kick off the show with a performance of her hit "Hollaback Girl" and she'll also be honored with the Teen Choice Visionary Award. Jessica Simpson, Paris Hilton, Eva Longoria and Jesse Metcalfe are among other stars expected to show up. The event, which is taped in Los Angeles, will air 8 p.m. ET on FOX.
WEDNESDAY, AUG. 17: After a tour through South America, Marc Anthony returns to the U.S. with Latin-music stars Alejandro Fernandez and Chayanne. The co-headliners – who will each have their own set – kick off their 15-city tour in Houston, which ends Sept. 17 in Miami. Sure to be on hand for at least some of the tour: Jennifer Lopez, who traveled with husband Anthony for part of his South American sojourn.
