Everything about Desperate Housewives appears to be a hit.
One of the show's stars, Eva Longoria, required medical attention Wednesday after being "bumped on the head by something" while shooting on location at Pasadena City College, says the actress's spokeswoman, Liza Anderson.
But the star has already bounced back, says Anderson: "Eva is doing very well today. It was a minor incident and she is ready to return to work."
Longoria, 30, was taken to a nearby hospital after the accident, where she was treated and released, Anderson tells Reuters. TV's Access Hollywood reported that Longoria's bump was caused when a pole fell on her.
Longoria, who plays the conniving, adulterous Gabrielle Solis, will return to work as scheduled, Anderson said, adding that the pole was part of construction material from a jail set that Longoria was shooting on.
While not revealing what transpired in jail (last season, Gabrielle's husband, Carlos, was sentenced for shady money deals), Anderson did say of Longoria: "She's got a hard head."
In a statement, Longoria expressed her gratitude to fans saying, "Thank you for your concern, support and get-well wishes."
