It will be some of the old and some of the new when Music From and Inspired by Desperate Housewives, the soundtrack to the hit ABC show, hits shelves on Sept. 20.

Leading the album will be a new Shania Twain single, "Shoes," as well as new tracks by LeAnn Rimes, Macy Gray, Joss Stone, k.d. lang, and others. The disc will be mixed with dialogue from the show's stars, Reuters reports.

Video accompanying the lead single will feature Twain and Housewives stars Teri Hatcher, Marcia Cross, Eva Longoria and Felicity Huffman.

But some of the album will likely sound familiar, as well. Liz Phair performs a cover of the Rolling Stones' popular "Mother's Little Helper" and the Indigo Girls offer their version of Simon & Garfunkel's "Mrs. Robinson." And Martina McBride updates Tom T. Hall's country-classic "Harper Valley P.T.A."

The second season of Desperate Housewives begins Sept. 25 on ABC.
