Kirsten & Jake's Arty Date Night
Kirsten Dunst and Jake Gyllenhaal
Reunited sweethearts Kirsten Dunst and Jake Gyllenhaal took in a little culture – and supported a fellow celebrity – when they attended Ocean's Twelve actor Scott Caan's photography exhibit at Los Angeles boutique Na'Pali. The couple, who arrived in Gyllenhaal's black Mercedes, checked out Caan's black-and-white shots, a mix of everyman and celebrity photos, including Angelina Jolie (who wasn't at the event).
Besides checking out the moody portraits, Dunst and Gyllenhaal mingled with the other celebs at the event, including Bruce Willis, Matthew Perry, Eva Mendes, Josh Duhamel, Mena Suvari and Minnie Driver. "It was like the Oscars inside," one guest says about scene. "But there was an interesting vibe. Everyone was serious." And Dunst, who recently took a photography course, may have been looking for some pointers for her own art.
Jon Bon Jovi is used to juggling a lot of projects: He's got his band, Bon Jovi, who are releasing their new album, Have a Nice Day, on Sept. 20; he'll star in the horror movie Cry Wolf (set for a Sept. 16 release); and he owns the arena-league Philadelphia Soul football team. But one of the rocker's biggest passions is volunteering.
"I've been very fortunate," he told us at the National Conference on Volunteering and Service in Washington, D.C. "I've been fortunate for a long time. In the case of the Soul, I found an avenue that I could make my own in a way that wouldn't cater to just one cause but a number of causes. We give as much of our time and monies as we can to make a difference in the community."
Among the projects Bon Jovi's team has undertaken are building a playground at the Northern Home for Children foster home in Philadelphia, buying beds and setting up internships for the runaway kids staying at the Covenant House in the city. "That you're leaving something behind that's a little more memorable than a collection of pop songs is really fulfilling for me," he says.
Caught in the Act
Cameron Diaz, buying Reminiscence tank tops and long-sleeved shirts in every color at boutique Spirituali in Los Angeles. She also purchased Limited Edition Joe's Jeans and $165 Second jeans. "She always buys jeans that have back pockets usually with a flap or design," says a salesperson.
David Schwimmer, playing pool at Chicago's Rockit Bar and Grill with friend and owner Billy Dec. Afterward, they headed over to Jerry Kleiner's ultra-hot Victor Hotel lounge. The actor was in town for the Madhatter's Ball, which benefited his Lookingglass Theatre Company.
