Martha Reveals TV Details & Ankle Device | Martha Stewart
When Martha Stewart invited reporters to see the set of her new daytime show on Thursday, the domestic guru also exposed something else – the monitoring device on her ankle.

"I have a microphone on one ankle and a bracelet on the other," said Stewart, as she lifted the leg of her chocolate brown suit, then joked. "I'm well balanced today."

Stewart's infamous accessory will soon come off: Her home confinement is set to end Wednesday, Aug. 31, less than two weeks before her new daytime show Martha debuts Sept. 12.

The set of Stewart's new lifestyle program is classic Martha: a sprawling Manhattan loft-like space, complete with a functioning kitchen and a garden area.

The domestic expert also offered a few tidbits about the program: On the show's debut day, the audience will be made up entirely of guests who downloaded and knitted their own "Alderson Poncho" – the same one Stewart wore when she was released from prison five months ago. A week later, the audience will consist of women (and a few dogs) all named Martha Stewart.

Stewart also mentioned she'd like to have Alias star Jennifer Garner (who has a dog named Martha Stewart ) appear on the program.

But Stewart kept mum on the one question everyone wants answered: The catchphrase she'll use on her version of The Apprentice, which debuts Sept. 21. She will reveal what it won't be, though: "I've never said 'You're fired' to anybody in my life."

As for beginning a new phase of her life after her house arrest ends, Stewart said: "I've been so much looking forward to starting anew this September."
