Star Jones Reynolds to Host Emmy Pre-Show

Star Jones Reynolds will return as the host of the E! Entertainment pre-show coverage and red-carpet arrivals at the Emmy Awards in September, a source close to the actress confirms to PEOPLE.

Jones Reynolds took over the coveted red-carpet reporting spot from Joan Rivers last year, as Joan and daughter Melissa's snarky remarks were relegated to the TV Guide channel. The Emmy Awards will air live Sept. 18 on CBS.

The View star has been the on-the-spot personality for a number of pre-show galas in the last year, including this year's Oscars and Golden Globes.
