Hugh Jackman had one word for Donald Trump backstage at the Emmys after the mogul had delivered a "Green Acres" duet with Megan Mullally to the audience out front: "Awesome!"

Sunday night also brought out a compliment from William H. Macy – about his wife, Felicity Huffman, winner of outstanding actress in a comedy, for Desperate Housewives.

"She thinks she's not funny, but she's just hysterical," Macy told a companion as Huffman posed for photographers with her castmates from the ABC hit, the Associated Press reports.

Though Housewives lost the comedy series Emmy to Everybody Loves Raymond, whose mini-sweep also included trophies for supporting players Brad Garrett and Doris Roberts, Huffman easily gave one of the evening's most moving acceptance speeches.

Clutching her Emmy at the Shrine Auditorium podium, she thanked Macy, because he "took a chunky 22-year-old with a bad perm ... and made me his wife."

The cast of the best dramatic series, Lost, was positively giddy backstage, holding a reunion in the trophy room while waiting for their Emmys (dummy statuettes a dispensed onstage – the real ones are delivered backstage).

"Hello darling. How are you? Haven't seen you all night," Josh Holloway said to Naveen Andrews as the two hugged.

"Lost" leading man Matthew Fox praised castmate Maggie Grace's dress as they descended stairs to the trophy room: "You look great, baby. Your dress is lovely."

Yunjin Kim, who couldn't make the Emmys, at least heard from several of her colleagues.

"Everyone's here saying congratulations," actor Daniel Dae Kim yelled into a cell phone before passing it to executive producer Carlton Cuse, who asked her, "Can you believe it?"
