The Grammy and Oscar winner, who turns 33 next Monday, is collaborating on two songs with his longtime partner Dr. Dre that will serve as bonus material on Eminem's greatest-hits collection, Curtain Call, due for release Dec. 6 from Interscope Records.
Also on the album will be "some songs that a lot of people like," including the Best Song Oscar winner "Lose Yourself" and his debut national single, "My Name Is," Eminem said in a statement.
Last Aug. 16, Eminem checked into a hospital to deal with dependency to sleep medication, his publicist told Reuters at the time. The announcement came two days after the Grammy-winning rapper called off his 10-date European tour, citing exhaustion.
In July, Eminem denied a report that said he was planning to retire after releasing his fourth multiplatinum album, Encore. But he did say he might be taking a breather from his solo career.
"When I say I'm taking a break, I'm taking a break from my music to go in the studio and produce my other artists and put their albums out," Eminem told MTV. "When I know my next move, I'll tell everyone my next move."
