Josh Holloway Thanks Police After Robbery
"My family and I are fine and appreciate everyone's concerns and good thoughts," Holloway, 36, who plays hunky con man Sawyer in the ABC drama, said in a statement released by his show's production company.
"We are very grateful for the help of the Honolulu Police Department and the support of the local community," he added. He had no further comment about the incident.
Local Honolulu TV station KHON reported Thursday that Holloway and his wife, Yessica, were rousted from bed at gunpoint by a robber who took cash and credit cards and then drove off in Holloway's Mercedes-Benz, which police found abandoned a short time later.
Honolulu police declined to identify Holloway but said a couple living at his property was awakened at 4:10 a.m. local time on Wednesday by a man wearing gray-and-black shirt and baseball cap holding a handgun, reports Reuters.
Lost, which won the Emmy last month as best dramatic series, is currently shooting its second season on the Hawaiian island of Oahu. This past Wednesday's episode was the highest rated show of the night, with an average of 21.2 million viewers, according to preliminary estimates from Nielsen.
Though Lost had a season premiere last month that attracted a whopping 23 million viewers, its current standing remains strong enough to pit it against CBS's CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and ABC's Desperate Housewives for ranking as No. 1 among 18-49-year-old viewers.
